8 Laverockbank Road, Edinburgh

8 Laverockbank Road is an early 19th-century pair of simple classical semi-detached houses, each two stories high and featuring two bays. The houses are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, including long and short quoins, while the sides and rear are finished in random rubble. They have a base course, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course that is raised at the center.

The west elevation, which is the principal facade, is regularly fenestrated with architraved windows and doors. The timber panelled doors have fanlights above, with the door at No 9 being particularly decorative. A dentilled cornice is located above the doors.

The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern, and the roofs are covered with graded grey slates. The stone coped wallhead stacks are swept at the base, with the stack at No 9 being concrete faced.

The boundary wall consists of stone coped coursed rubble garden walls, which are high on the sides and lower at the front.
