4 Laverockbank Road, Edinburgh

4 Laverockbank Road is an early 19th century, two-storey, six-bay classical terrace consisting of two mirrored houses. The building features polished ashlar stone, which is paler on the ground floor.

The principal elevation has windows and doors set in segmentally-arched recessed panels. There is a base course, an architraved course at the springing of the arches, and a raised dividing course between the ground and first floors. The eaves cornice and blocking course are raised at the center. Ground floor windows have projecting stone cills, while the first floor features panelled aprons. The timber panelled doors include later glazed panels at No 3 and are topped with rectangular fanlights.

The north and south elevations are constructed of random rubble. The windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the stone coped ashlar wallhead stacks have been rebuilt in concrete at the ridge, featuring circular cans.

There is a low stone coped ashlar wall at the front of the property.
