Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey 6-bay classical terrace of 2 houses (mirrored pair). Polished ashlar (paler to ground floor).

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: windows and doors in segmentally- arched recessed panels. Base course, architraved course at springing of arches, raised dividing course between ground and 1st floor; eaves cornice and blocking course raised at centre. Projecting stone cills at ground floor windows; panelled aprons at 1st floor. Timber panelled doors (later glazed panels at No 3) with rectangular fanlight.

N and S ELEVATIONS: random rubble construction.

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Stone coped ashlar wallhead stacks (rebuilt in concrete on ridge) with circular cans.

BOUNDARY WALL: low stone coped ashlar wall to front.
