11 Bath Street, Edinburgh

11 Bath Street is a classical terraced house built around 1820, with some later alterations. It is two stories high and has four bays. The front is made of finely droved ashlar with polished ashlar dressings, while the rear and extension are constructed from rubble. The house features a base course, a cill course on the first floor, a mutule cornice, and a blocking course.

On the northwest (principal) elevation, the distribution of the bays is slightly irregular. To the right of the center is a round-arched entrance, which includes a deep-set panelled door flanked by Doric columns, a frieze, and a cornice topped with a segmental plate glass fanlight, featuring a keystone at the center. There is a blinded window on the first floor, with windows in each floor of the other bays. The outer right bays are closely grouped.

The southeast (rear) elevation has a two-storey extension on the left bays, and there is another extension on the right bay, which is not visible, added in 1994.

The windows are primarily plate glass timber sash and case, except for a modern swinging casement in the ground bay to the right. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there is an ashlar mutual stack shared with No 9 and a rendered mutual stack shared with No 13.

The boundary walls consist of squared sandstone with a coped front wall, which previously had cast-iron railings that have now been replaced with modern versions.
