Description
No. 45 Walcot Street is a two-storey building with a single storey at the rear, reflecting the sloping site. Constructed from limestone ashlar, it features a hipped pantile roof with a small moulded stack on the left. The front has a three-window arrangement and is topped with a coped parapet, a stopped cornice, and a cornice band. There is a first-floor cill band above 20th-century three-over-six sash windows. To the right, a 20th-century shop designed in a 19th-century style has a margin-paned overlight above a set-back door and an ashlar plinth. Adjacent to the shop are Pennant Stone steps, approximately 2 meters wide, with a simple wrought iron handrail. These steps rise steeply to a landing behind the shop and then continue to curve to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
