Description

These are two houses located at the end of a row, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The front is painted ashlar, with dressed stone elsewhere, and a pantile roof. The properties are set down from the pavement, with a semi-basement to the front, but the rear rises to full height due to a drop in ground level; the main range is taller than the flush wing to the right.

The upper floor of the lower wing has two sixteen-pane sash windows. The main range has two twelve-pane sashes above a single sash and a pair of sashes, all twelve-pane. An area of paving leads to steps and simple iron railings, and there's a cheeked double porch with a slab hood to each entrance. The porch cheeks and hood have reeded edges. Side entry doors are located at area level. A continuous mid-sill band runs along the front, and the higher range has a moulded cornice, blocking course, and parapet. Each coped gable has two ashlar stacks, and there's a smaller stack to the hipped right end. The interior has not been inspected.
