Description
50 and 52 Combe Road are a pair of mid-19th century houses located on the southwest side of Combe Down. They are constructed from limestone ashlar, with No. 52 painted, and feature a Roman tile roof. The range has a hipped roof with a central coped verge and a lower hipped end to the right, which slightly overlaps the frontage of the adjoining set-back house at No. 48.
The houses are two storeys tall and have plain sash windows. No. 50 features a two-over-one window arrangement and a centrally located early fielded panel door with a horizontal glazed panel. No. 52 has two-over-one replacement sash windows and a panelled door set in deep reveals to the left. There is a central ashlar chimney stack. The interiors have not been inspected. These houses are included for their group value.
