Description
The Cricket Pavilion, located approximately 100 meters south of Prior Park College, is a Grade II listed building dating from around the early 20th century. It features a rectangular plan and is constructed from limestone ashlar with a concrete roof.
The exterior is designed in a Neo-Classical style, characterized by its plain appearance. The pavilion is a single storey with a three-bay front, which includes three-light windows on either side of a central door that has sidelights. All the windows are two-pane sashes. Additional exterior features include a glazed door, a cornice band, and a parapet, while the roof remains hidden from view.
Inside, the pavilion is entirely faced with ashlar and boasts vaulted stone ceilings. The interior layout includes a central lobby and two rooms, which are adorned with Doric pilasters and arched niches.
