Description
The Old Pavilion is a cricket pavilion built around 1860. It features a boarded timber-frame construction and a hipped slate roof, with a rectangular shape. The building is a small single-storey structure with a five-bay front, which includes large 20-pane sash windows separated by thin buttresses, and a blocked central doorway. There are smaller doorways on either side of the front.
Inside, an axial partition divides the main space from a smaller area at the front, which has large windows that overlook the playing field. The walls of the main area are lined with boards that have names inscribed on them, likely the names of players. The interior is open to the roof, showcasing chamfered queen-post trusses.
