Description

The gymnasium at Rugby School, built in 1872 by William Butterfield, is designed in the Gothic style. It features red brick construction with stone dressings and darker brick decoration. The building has a gabled roof and an east front porch that includes a Welsh slated hipped roof, which is supported by a gable. This gable is complemented by a large central chimney and is flanked by three-light pointed arched windows, complete with mullions and transoms.
