Description
A house dating from 1933 to 1934, designed by Serge Chermayeff for Mrs E W Shann. The house is constructed of white-painted concrete, employing an International Modern style. It is rectangular in plan with a flat roof and two storeys. It features horizontal bands of metal-framed casement windows. The entrance is sheltered by a plain, flat hood. A circular, cantilevered balcony with a metal handrail projects from one corner. The design was featured in Architectural Review in March 1935, page 106.
