Description

Prior Cottage and Barbrey Cottage are a pair of houses built in the early to mid-19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and have slate or pantile roofs.

The houses are two storeys high and each originally had two windows. Number 130 retains original twelve-pane sash windows, weathered at the window openings. It features a projecting flat bow with a twenty-pane casement window. The front door is a four-panel door with coloured glass inserts, covered by a slab hood supported by brackets. A stack is visible on the right side. Number 132 has replacement plastic windows with weatherings, and a projecting shopfront with a deep fascia and moulded cornice. This shopfront is now a central entrance door. A stack is also visible on the right side of Number 132. The interiors have not been inspected.
