Description
Rosemount is a detached house located on Gladstone Road in Williamstowe, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a double depth villa plan with two parts, one larger and set slightly behind the other.
The exterior is two storeys high with a three:two window arrangement, all of which are plain sashes. The doorway is situated in a solid porch located in the right-hand bay of the left part, at the angle between the two sections. The porch has double glazed doors, a cornice at the parapet, and corner acroteria. There is a first-floor band that incorporates projecting hoodmoulds over the ground floor windows, along with a first-floor sill band. The upper windows are fitted with louvered shutters. The ground floor of the right-hand section is partly obscured by a greenhouse. The eaves are overhanging, and the roofs are independently hipped, each featuring a tall ashlar stack with weathering. The rear elevation has not been inspected.
