GV II

Gate piers and walls, railings, gate, and overthrow. Early C19. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar and wrought iron. EXTERIOR: Each end of frontage square panelled pier with incised rounded head, between ashlar wall, reducing from approx 1.5m to left to 0.5m to right because of hill slope, with spear head railings to coping. Wide central break has iron gate with spearhead main bars and dog bars and diamond panels, with concave top and further protective bars above, hung to lattice standards with rounded heads. Above arched overthrow, swept forward, with open lamp-holder.
