Description

These are an early 19th-century pair of houses located on Park Lane. They are built of render, with limestone rubble visible in the gable ends. The houses have a double-depth plan and are three storeys high, each with a single window facing the street. Number 4 has 20th-century windows, with a top-opening light on the ground floor and casements above and a door with two glazed panels. Number 5 retains a plain sash window on the ground floor, with six-over-six panes on the first floor and three-over-six panes on the second; the upper windows have louvered shutters. The roofs are of triple Roman tile, with a shared rubble chimney stack on the party wall. The rear elevation is not visible. The interiors have not been inspected. The houses are included on the list for their group value.
