Description

No. 3 Park Tavern is a public house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with 20th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, mostly rendered, and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has a single depth plan with a 20th-century addition at the south end.

The exterior features two storeys with a one:two:two window arrangement on the ground floor and a one:one arrangement above. The ground floor includes a modern steel casement window in a small single-storey extension on the south side, followed by two eight-over-eight pane sash windows, and a panelled door set in a plain recess. There is also a four-over-four sash and an eight-over-eight sash, with the last two located in a contemporary but slightly lower wing. The upper floor has paired eight-over-eight sash windows with a stone mullion, and in the wing, there is a six-over-six sash window. A cornice and parapet are present, but the roof of the main part is only visible from higher up the street, while the lower part is not visible at all. The south gable end features two four-over-four sash windows above the single-storey extension, which has a modern steel casement window. The rear elevation has not been seen.

The interior has been significantly altered, and no original features remain.
