Description
Hillside Kennels and Antique Centre is a building located on Balcombe Road in Pound Hill. The structure consists of two parallel ranges. The rear range, which is plastered and has undergone significant alterations, may date back to the 17th century, while the front range is from the early 19th century. A chimney stack on the building appears to be from the 17th century as well. The building is two storeys tall and constructed of brick, featuring a low-pitched roof with projecting eaves made of Welsh slates, hipped at both the north and south ends. It has five sash windows with glazing bars and a doorcase that includes a flat projecting hood supported by brackets. To the south, there is a later 19th-century one-storey, four-bay range that has a similar doorcase and a brick carriage arch with a keystone.
