Description

Blackwater Cottage is a late 17th century to early 18th century cottage that stands two storeys tall. The ground floor is made of brick, which has been painted, while the first floor is tile hung. The north gable end is weather-boarded. The cottage features an old tiled roof that is hipped at the north end and has a chimney stack dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. The windows include wooden casements with glazing bars at the south end and leaded casements on the first floor at the east end. There is a simple doorcase. Inside, the cottage has exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace.
