Description

Green Lane Old Cottage is a probably 17th century timber-framed cottage with a thatched roof, set on a stone base. It stands two storeys high, with the west side featuring a ground floor faced with brick and a first floor hung with curved tiles. The south and east sides display exposed timber-framing with brick infilling. A 18th century brick chimney stack is present, along with four restored leaded casement windows and a simple doorcase. This cottage is one of only two remaining thatched houses in Crawley Borough.
