Description

Leila Cottage, formerly "The Fighting Cocks" public house, is a 17th-century thatched cottage. It is a single-storey building with a dormer storey above a bressumer. The cottage is constructed of painted brick, featuring three windows. Originally, there were two doors on the ground floor; the right-hand one is now glazed. The main door and flanking glazing bar sash windows have cambered arches and shutters. The dormers contain original paired casements. A catslide roof is present at the rear. The lintel of the main door has settled.
