Description
39 East Street is a two-storey farmhouse dating from 1732, marked by the date stone 'J J' above the year. The building features a one-two-one-one window arrangement and is still in use, along with sheds and stables located at the rear. It has a tiled roof and is constructed with knapped flints, squared in the central bays, complemented by red brick and occasional grey headers used for dressings, quoins, and interval strips. The former cottage at the north end has a pebble-faced exterior. The farmhouse has casement windows set under cambered arches, with four on the ground floor and three on the first floor. There is a central entrance that includes a recent timber porch, with blind brick dressings above.
