- Circa 1870; attributed to J A Hansom. Pair of split-level Tudorbethan cottages of one storey with attic, with basement storey also in SW and NW elevations [now (1982) one dwelling] Brick walls with stone dressings, and with stone coping and kneelers to gables; tile roof with alternate bands of plain and shaped tiles. Tall shafted brick stacks with moulded capping. Iron trellis lights in windows with stone mullions, many windows with stone transoms as well.
NE or front elevation with tall centre stack; two three-light mullioned attic windows with gable in centre with two-light mullioned first floor to right hand. On ground floor, two transomed and mullioned rectangular bay windows with hipped roofs, with windows of four-lights in front wall, and single lights in side walls; two small mullioned windows in centre.
Each side elevation with two gables, the south gable in each with a three-light window on each floor, with transom to ground and first floors. Centre bay of each side elevation with slightly recessed first floor window above lean-to with gabled porch with stone piers and bargeboard in front; doorway with stone jambs and ledged door with elaborate hinges. The gabled North bay in each side elevation with jettied first floor support on stone piers, astone pier in North bay of South elevation replaced by brick pier.
