Description
Nos 1 to 6 Albert Road are a mid-Victorian terrace of houses that stand four storeys tall and feature a stucco front. Each house has two sash windows with moulded architraves, and the top windows are adorned with bracketed hoods. The ground storeys include three-light bay windows and recessed doorways, with balustrades leading to the pavement. A notable feature of the terrace is the rich and unusual decorative ironwork on the first-floor balconies, which run uninterrupted across all six houses and are supported by plain metal roofs on iron posts. The spandrels and balcony railings display floral scrollwork. Nos 1 to 6 form a cohesive group.
