Description
Nos 15 to 23 on Christopher Street are an early 19th-century terrace, each building comprising four storeys and a basement. Most have two windows, except for No 23, which has four windows. The buildings are constructed from stock brick with reddened brick dressings. They feature a stuccoed frieze, cornice, and blocking course, as well as a banded rusticated stuccoed ground floor. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set beneath gauged flat brick arches in stucco-lined reveals, with those on the first floor located in round arched recesses. The rustications on the ground floor create voussoirs for the round arched entrances. Most doors have been modernised and the fanlights are plain. The terrace is complemented by cast iron lancehead area railings. Nos 15 to 23 form a group.
