Description

Nos 1 to 3 Church Square is an early 19th-century terrace with a symmetrical facade, constructed from grit stone ashlar. The building has a stone slate roof with a coped gable and consists of two storeys and a basement. The first floor features seven windows, while the ground floor has four windows and three doorways. There are sill bands and a stone eaves cornice that serves as a rainwater gutter. The windows are recessed sash types with plain surrounds, and the doorways are round-arched with patterned radial fanlights and panelled doors. The terrace is complemented by cast iron railings with urn finials. Nos 1 to 3 form a cohesive group.
