Description
Nos 1 to 11 on High Street are a mid-18th century terrace of two-storey small houses, built in 1814. The terrace features a cornice, with Nos 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, and 11 finished in pebble-dash, while the others are stuccoed. Each house has a front door accessed by a flight of steps with iron railings. Notably, No 6 has banded triple columns at its porch, complete with an entablature and an embattled parapet, and No 7 features Tuscan three-quarter columns at its doorcase with an open pediment. Nos 6 and 7 each have four sash windows in the upper storey, with No 6's windows set in moulded frames. The other houses in the terrace have two sash windows each on the upper floor. Nos 1 to 11 collectively form a significant group.
