Description
Long Lane Cottage is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century at the rear, with a front that was added in the 20th century. The building is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill at the rear and is brick and tile hung at the front. It features plain tiled roofs, which are half hipped at the rear, and has a large ridge stack on the left side. The cottage is two storeys high, with two framed bays at the rear that include corner bracing. The front has a gable on the left side with two storeys and a one-storey section with an attic on the right, which is topped by two gabled dormers. The windows on the street front are 20th-century casement windows. Inside, the frame is visible, and there are stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
