Description
Broadstone Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid to late 16th century, with extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is timber framed, with the rear exposed and whitewashed brick infilling. The front is clad in whitewashed brick, featuring a tile-hung first floor. It has a plain tiled roof, with a hipped roof wing on the left and a steep gabled wing on the right. The cottage is two storeys high and has a rebuilt multiple stack located to the right of centre at the junction with the wing, which has a corbelled top. The windows are casement style, including one 3-light and one 4-light diamond-pane window in the right-hand wing. There are two windows on the ground floor and two first-floor windows, along with one window between the floors in the centre. There are doors to the right of centre and to the right, and one window on each floor of the left-hand wing.
