Description

The Wicket Gate is a former 17th-century barn, later converted into a cottage, with alterations from the 18th century. The building is timber framed and has a brown brick base, with “club” tile hanging above. The timber frame is exposed to the rear, with rendered infilling on the first floor. The roof is tiled. It is two storeys high, with a 20th-century end stack on the left and a ridge stack to the left of centre. The first floor has two diamond-pane leaded casement windows, and the ground floor has two larger windows. A single-storey gabled porch, also with a 20th-century ribbed and studded door, is located on the right end of the building.
