Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century, with late 18th century additions to the right and 19th century additions to the rear. It has a timber-framed core with whitewashed brick cladding, fishscale tile hanging on the left, whitewashed brick in the center, and random polychrome facing on the right. The roof is half hipped to the left center and hipped to the right, with stocks on the left, center, and rear. The building is two stories tall and features irregular 19th century window arrangements, including three casements on the first floor and four on the ground floor. There is a half-glazed door to the right of center, which is sheltered by a 19th century gabled porch hood with bargeboards on wooden supports. A half-glazed plank door is located in a single-storey addition at the left end. The timber frame is exposed on the rear elevations.
