Description
Old Hall Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with 17th-century extensions and 19th-century alterations. It features a timber frame on a rendered plinth, with whitewashed brick cladding below and whitewashed brick infill above. The roof is plain tiled and half hipped, with a large stack at the center and additional stacks at the front and rear left. The house has two storeys and four framed bays, with irregular casement windows. The entrance is a planked door located at the center, set within a brick gabled porch.
On the left side, the first floor is tile hung, while the lower part is finished in whitewashed render. The rear of the house includes a wing to the left, which has square panel framing and whitewash render infill. There is also a 19th-century half-glazed porch with a pent roof at the left end.
Inside, the framing is visible, particularly in the ceiling frames that feature stop chamfers. There is a deep brick fireplace with a wooden lintel and a bread oven, along with curved bracing and oak floors on the first floor.
