Description
Brook Cottage is a cottage from the 17th century that was restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with partly square panels and rendered infill, topped by a plain tiled half-hipped roof with a ridge stack located to the left of center. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of four framed bays with irregularly placed 19th and 20th century leaded casement windows. To the left of center, there is a 20th century ribbed door beneath a gabled porch adorned with foliage-carved bargeboards. The left side of the cottage has a pent roof and a glazed porch supported by wooden posts. The right side showcases exposed Queen post construction. At the rear right, there is a catslide roof with a hipped roof dormer. Inside, some of the framing is visible.
