Description

Lodge, built around 1840 with a late 20th-century extension to the left. The lodge is rendered with slate roofs and has rendered ridge stacks at both ends. It comprises a single-story central range flanked by pedimented cross wings, with the left-hand wing being modern. The design is articulated using a Doric order, featuring fluted piers at the ends and fluted half-columns in the centre of the sides. Four glazing bar sash windows are set in deep reveals with architrave surrounds on the long sides. A closed portico with end pilasters and two central half-columns is located at the right-hand end. A door is situated on the right-hand return front, sheltered by a gabled slate roof porch. The lodge does not appear on the 1838 tithe map but is recorded in the 1841 census.
