Description
Hobbs Farm House is a house that dates back to the 15th century, with a front range added in the 17th century. The rear of the house is timber framed, while the front features a brick plinth made of red brick in English bond. The roofs are parallel, with Horsham slabs on the front and a hipped plain tiled roof on the rear. There are offset end chimneys at the front, with two diagonal stacks on the left and three taller stacks on the right. The house has two storeys and three 20th-century four-light leaded casement windows across the first floor. The central entrance features a panelled and half-glazed door, topped by a traceried fanlight. On the left side of the house, there are two 17th-century windows with cut and rubbed brick surrounds and a central mullion.
The rear elevation is made of red and blue brick at the bottom, with tile hanging above. Casement windows are present throughout the house. Inside, the framing is visible in the ground floor room at the rear, and some rooms feature wooden cornices.
