Description
Church Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 17th century, with 20th-century alterations and extensions to the right. It is timber framed and has incised colourwashed render cladding to the lower parts, with tile hanging above. The roof is tiled, with a parallel range to the rear left and a large triple ridge stack located to the left of centre. The house has an L-shaped plan, with a wing set at right angles to the rear. It is two storeys high, featuring two metal casement windows on the first floor to the right, and two on the ground floor to the left and right. A half-glazed door is positioned to the left of centre, sheltered by a pent roof hood supported by braces. A gabled wing extends to the rear, featuring a large rendered offset end stack.
The interior reveals some exposed timber framing, mostly visible on the first floor, with Queen posts in the attics, showing evidence of re-used timbers.
