Description
Whitwells Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, with late 18th century extensions on the right. The building features a timber frame that is rendered on the left, while the right side has whitewashed brick cladding that slightly projects forward at the center and right. It has a plain tiled roof that is half hipped with a gablet on the left and half hipped on the right. The house is two storeys high and has a ridge stack to the left of the center and another stack to the right of the center. The windows are arranged irregularly, with the majority located in the center and right sections. There are four casement windows on the first floor and five on the ground floor, including one on the right under a cambered head. A half-glazed door is situated in the center. There is also a pent roof ground floor extension that projects to the right, which includes an additional casement window and a planked door, as well as a pentice roof extension at the left end.
