Description

Frimhurst Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge. It is roughcast with hipped slate roofs and tiled ridges. The lodge is single-storeyed, with rendered stacks in the centre of the main roofs and on the river side. The design incorporates a polygonal, angled frontage facing the river, with a flat elevation towards the towpath. It features leaded casement windows; two windows face the towpath, and four windows are along the river front, one in each face of the polygonal shape. A half-glazed door is located to the right on the towpath elevation, where it joins a rendered single-storey extension.
