Description

The Barn is a 16th-century barn, later converted into a cottage. It is timber framed, set upon a stone and brick plinth, with rendered and whitewashed infill between the exposed timber frame above. The roof is hipped and thatched, with a sweeping profile that extends over single-storey additions at each end. The barn has a single storey and three framed bays, featuring lattice leaded windows with arched heads. A brick hood band runs across the left side. The central window has three arched lights, also under an arched head. There is a single arched window to the right end, and a boarded door to the right side. The building is included on the list for its group value in relation to Bedford Farm House.
