Description
Swan Lodge is a building originally consisting of two houses, now combined into one. It dates from the 16th century, with an early 19th-century front. The rear is timber-framed and encased in brick, featuring fishscale tile hanging above and whitewashed brick on the front. The building has plain tile hipped roofs that are positioned at right angles to the street, with end stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with sash windows that include glazing bars. The first-floor windows have gauged hoods, and there is a continuous pent roof across the ground floor, along with a central board door. There are also 20th-century extensions.
