Description
Coneyhurst Farm House is a house that dates back to the 15th century and was extended in the 17th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The central part of the house is timber framed with exposed close studding and colourwashed rendered infill over a rendered underbuild. To the right, there are galleted sandstone blocks with brick quoins, while to the left, there are rubblestone and brick extensions. The roofs are plain tiled, with a hipped roof of Horsham slabs over the main range. The oldest section is in the center, featuring cross wings at either end, a porch at the end of the right-hand wing, and 20th-century extensions at the rear of the left-hand wing. The house has two storeys with diagonal stacks to the rear left of center, an end stack to the right, and additional stacks at the rear. The entrance is positioned at right angles to the street. The first floor has ogee bracing, and there are three leaded casements across two windows below, with one window under a drip board. A gabled dormer faces the lane over the porch extension at the end of the right-hand cross wing. The entrance features a plank door beneath a wavy-edge, bargeboarded gabled hood. At the rear, there are projecting tile-hung gabled wings at either end, with the frame exposed in the center.
