Description
The Old Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill at the bottom and tile hanging above, all under a plain tiled half-hipped roof. The building has two storeys, with a single-storey extension to the left. There is an offset multiple stack located at the rear left of the centre. The lower course of the tile hanging is swept out over the ground floor, displaying fishscale and 'club' patterning. The first floor has three diamond-pane leaded casement windows, while the ground floor has two windows. To the left, there is a plank door. The single-storey sandstone extension to the left has a tile-hung gable end and two windows.
