Description

Sudbury Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, featuring a half-hipped roof covered in plain tiles and two brick stacks on the north slope. The building has two storeys and a two-window range of 20th-century casements. Inside, there is a substantial oak frame with chamfered bridging joists, a curved wall, and braces. There are also two original diamond mullion window openings. The roof was rebuilt in the 18th century and includes collars and queen posts, along with halved and bladed scarfs in the wall plates.
