Description

Kites' Lodge is a 19th-century, likely early, plastered cottage designed in a simple cottage ornee style. It was built as an entrance lodge and has a T-shaped plan, consisting of one storey. The main block faces west and features a central gabled rustic porch with a thatched roof and a door with two nail studs. The west front has a two-window range with 20th-century mullioned and transomed casements. At the north end, there is a small canted bay with 20th-century casements and a thatched roof. A central wing extends to the east at the rear. The roof is thatched, and there are brick stacks, contributing to its picturesque appearance.
