Description
Flemings Farmhouse is the remaining part of a much larger 16th-century red brick house that is said to have been burnt. The main feature is a large two-storey bay window on the north front, which includes five-light windows and a single-light window on the return faces. The ground storey window has one transom, while the first storey has two. Above the bay, there is a three-light mullioned window and a gable with moulded capping and spired finials. On the east side, there are similar windows that are blocked. The windows feature stone rustications, and the other windows are 18th-century double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The roof is tiled and has a red brick chimney stack with three diagonal shafts, which has been rebuilt in the original pattern. At the east end, there is a single-storey wing that includes an original stone arched doorway. The interior retains some original features.
