Description
Winton House is a house dating from the late 16th century, which has been restored and encased in the 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone plinth, with a further render-infilled frame added on top. The first floor is tile hung, and the roof is hipped with plain tiles and end gablets. The house has two storeys, with end stacks on the right and ridge stacks on both the left and right of the centre. There are four diamond-pane, leaded casement windows across the first and ground floors, with those on the left located in a single bay addition. A hipped single-storey porch is situated at the right end, and there is an outshot across the rear. Inside, the frame is visible, featuring lamb's tongue stops on the chamfered spine beam.
