Description
Hull Hatch is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with 17th century extensions on the right and 19th and 20th century extensions at the rear. It features a timber frame on a brick plinth with brick infilling, which was once colourwashed. The building has brick extensions and plain tiled roofs that are hipped and half-hipped with gablets, forming an L-shaped plan. It stands two storeys tall, with two framed bays on the left and two bays on the right. There is a massive chimney stack at the rear of the left-hand range and another at the rear right. The first floor on the left has passing braces, while the ground floor has one window to the left and one window on each floor of the right end. There is a ground floor window under a drip hood at the left end, and a 20th century door located in a pentice porch at the junction of the two wings, with the pentice set back to the left end.
