Description
Yieldhurst is a house dating from the late 16th century, with extensions from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick underbuilding and whitewashed brick infill above the exposed frame. The roofs are plain tiled, hipped with a gablet to the right, and extend down in a catslide over the end pentice. The building has a T-shaped plan with a projecting wing to the left. The wing has two storeys, while the right side has one storey and an attic under a gabled eaves corner. There is one ridge stack on the wing and an end stack to the right. The cross wing has a three-light window on each floor, with the ground floor window located under a drip board. Additionally, there is a further leaded ground floor casement window on the corner and two ground floor leaded casements to the right. A ribbed and studded door is situated in the re-entrant angle with the wing. The left-hand return front features leaded casement windows, and there is fishscale tile hanging over the brick ground floor.
