Description
Barnett Farm House is a house dating from the late 16th century. It is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and has a half-hipped plain tiled roof. The house is positioned at right angles to the lane and features a smoke bay. It has two storeys and four framed bays, with tension bracing visible on the first floor. There is an offset end stack to the right and rear, and indications that the roof was once raised. The house has three windows on the first floor and two windows below. A porch with a corrugated plastic roof is located on the ground floor to the left; it is half-glazed and has a stable style outer door along with a planked inner door. There are loft doors to the eaves on the left-hand return front, and the gable end facing the lane is now weatherboarded. A new entrance has been added in a brick end porch that is at right angles to the lane.
