Description
Shoes Farm House is a house dating from the late 16th century, with an extension added to the rear in the early 20th century. The building is timber framed, with the front exposed and featuring whitewashed brick infilling and a rendered plinth. It has a half-hipped plain tiled roof from the 20th century. The house is two storeys high and consists of three framed bays, with stacks located at the rear, to the left and right of the centre. The end bay on the right was formerly separate but is now joined to the main structure. There are three three-light windows with mullions on the first floor, and two three-light mullioned windows below. The first floor also features tension bracing. The central entrance has a 20th-century glazed door beneath a flat hood supported by brackets, with a margin light to the left. At the rear, there is a hipped roof brick range, which is tile hung on the right-hand return front.
