Description
Pollingfold is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with 20th-century extensions to the left and rear. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick underbuild and infill on a sandstone rubble plinth, topped by a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the right and has bands of patterned tiles. The building is two storeys high and has multiple stacks with corbelled tops located to the right of centre. It consists of four framed bays with tension bracing on the first floor. The windows are a mix of casement styles, some of which are leaded with diamond panes. There are six windows on the first floor and five below, with an additional window in a pentice to the left. The entrance door is located to the right of centre, sheltered by a gabled hood supported by brackets, leading to a lobby entry. There is a 20th-century extension at the left end, and a further 20th-century extension to the rear, which is not of special interest.
