Description
This is a farmbuilding located approximately 25 metres north of Worth House Farmhouse, dated 1765. It is constructed of red brick with blue-glazed headers in Flemish bond and has a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays. The base features a plinth made of large stone blocks.
The right bay contains a tall, round-arched carriage entrance fitted with 20th-century board double doors, above which is a datestone. In the second bay, there is a 20th-century board door set in a wooden frame beneath a segmental brick arch. Above this door is a rectangular pitching hole with a board door and a segmental header-brick arch. On both floors, there are bricked-up and painted window openings under segmental arches made of headers on the first floor. The building has dentilled eaves and a half-hipped roof.
On the right return, there is a segmental arched opening with a board door leading to the first floor. The rear of the building features a 20th-century added range that is not of special interest. Inside, the first floor is reported to have a wattle and daub wall structure, which may have served as the internal lining for its use as a granary.
